Miss Cate
Director/Owner
Miss Cate has 20+ years experience as an early childhood educator and is the co-director & co-owner of Milestones. Her love for teaching young children prompted her to open Milestones in 2017. Miss Cate has a passion for children’s literature and loves to teach science while creating all sorts of special and fun projects. Singing and doing arts & crafts with her students are also some of her favorite activities. When she’s not at Milestones, she enjoys spending time with her family & friends and furry baby, Carter.
Miss Theresa
Director/Owner
Miss Theresa is a vastly experienced early childhood educator, bringing over a decade of expertise to her role as the co-director and co-owner of Milestones. Her passion for teaching is palpable, and her unique blend of calmness and exuberance endears her to both the students and staff. Her favorite activity with the students is outdoor play and exploration along with fostering a love for discovery. Beyond her professional responsibilities, Theresa finds fulfillment in spending time with her family and friends, reading, watching sunsets at the beach and taking refreshing walks with her furry companion, Daisy.
Miss Erin
Director
Before transitioning into her role as Director, Miss Erin served as an exceptional preschool teacher here at Milestones for many years. She brings a wealth of experience, boasting more than 12 years of working with children and holding a Bachelor of Science in Early Education from Pennsylvania State University. In addition to her vast experience at Milestones, she student taught at an environmentally-focused school in Lewistown, PA. Outside of Milestones, she loves spending time with her family of six siblings, including three of whom are adopted. She can also be found spending time by the ocean.
Miss Tanya
Director
Miss Tanya, our Salisbury Director, is an accomplished early education educator with over a decade of experience in early childcare and elementary education. Some of her prior experience includes running her own home daycare for nearly 5 years. Miss Tanya is dedicated to nurturing both the intellectual and emotional growth of her students. When she's not Milestones, she relishes family time with her husband and three children, reading, camping, hiking, crafting for local fairs and spending time with her 9 year old canine companion, Chevy.
Miss Cortney
Assistant Director
Miss Cortney is our Assistant Director. She graduated from Plymouth State University with degrees in Education and Curriculum Instruction and has worked both in the classroom and in administrative roles. Beyond the classroom, she finds joy in the simple pleasures of watching TV, cooking up delightful meals, and exploring new destinations through travel. She lives at home with her husband, son and dog Mia and loves being able to spend time with them on the weekends.
Miss Amy
Assistant Director
Amy is our new Assistant Director here at Milestones and has over 20 years experience working in Early Education. She holds an Associates Degree and is currently working on a Director’s Certification. She really found her passion working with Infants and Toddlers and is ready to take on the management side of childcare. In her free time she enjoys spending it with her 2 children, husband and 2 dogs, preferably sipping coffee on the beach or walking around downtown Newburyport. She has a passion for getting messy in art and baking up treats in the kitchen.
Miss Lily A.

Miss Lily has over 6 years of experience working with young children. Some of Miss Lily's favorite things to do with her students are arts & crafts, dance, and yoga. In her free time, Miss Lily loves to spend time with her favorite people - her little sister and her dogs. She also enjoys fishing and practicing yoga.

Miss Lily is an accomplished preschool educator with many years of experience. She holds a current EEC teaching license and possesses a genuine passion for nurturing the development of toddlers and preschoolers. Her love for music shines through as she delights in serenading and playing the guitar for her young learners' enjoyment. One of Miss Lily's cherished activities with her students is the morning meeting, where she dedicates her time to teaching essential concepts such as numbers, letters, colors, and the daily weather. Beyond her professional role, she finds joy in sharing quality time with family and friends while watching movies and savoring popcorn. Furthermore, Miss Lily is an avid outdoors enthusiast, enjoying camping, mountain hiking, and embracing any opportunity to immerse herself in nature.
Miss Lexi

Miss Lexi is a dedicated educator with a strong background in early childhood education. Her passion for fostering creativity in young minds shines through in her favorite activities with her students. Some of these include imaginative arts and crafts projects and lively dance parties to promote fun and physical activity.
Outside of her professional life at Milestones, Miss Lexi finds joy in the company of her beloved kitten, Kiwi. A fun and heartwarming note about Miss Lexi is that she was once a preschool student of Miss Kate!
Miss Lorein

Miss Lorein is a devoted teacher who finds fulfillment in the simple joys of life. Whether it's spending quality time with her family, engaging in meditative practices, or enjoying the companionship of her dog Minnie, she cherishes the bonds that bring warmth to her days. In her role as an educator, Miss Lorein brings a sense of joy to her students through interactive circle time sessions and creative activities. Her dedication to creating a positive and engaging learning environment is evident in the enthusiasm she brings to each interaction. Beyond the classroom, Miss Lorein extends her love for fun activities to her personal life, creating lasting memories with her daughter. Miss Lorein's balanced approach to work and personal life makes her a nurturing presence both at home and in the educational setting

Miss Monica is a seasoned early childcare educator with a longstanding commitment to the field. She is licensed from the Massachusetts Department of Early Education & Care and is actively working towards a degree in Early Education & Care at NECCO. Her extensive experience includes years of babysitting and as teacher helper here at Milestones. Miss Monica enjoys outside time, creating arts & crafts projects, and reading captivating and engaging books with her students. In her free time, she loves listening to music and going to concerts with her family and friends.
Miss Katrina

Miss Katrina is an early elementary education teacher who brings a unique blend of creativity and warmth to her classroom. In her free time, she likes to garden and work on making scrapbooks. At home, along with her 2 children, she shares her time with her cat Lulu, her dog Finn and her six chickens! Miss Katrina's favorite classroom activities include fostering imagination through dramatic play and creating themed sensory bins that captivate her students' senses. Outside of school, she loves to have tea parties and spa days with her daughter, and looks forward to family lake days as a perfect way to unwind and bond with her family.
Miss Tatyana

Miss Tatyana is an experienced early childhood educator. She is licensed through EEC and can be found most days in our infant wing. She is the youngest of eleven siblings which is evident as her family-oriented heart shines through in her teaching. Miss Tatyana loves creating memorable moments in her classroom by using a bubble machine and music which fosters joy and learning. When she's not at Milestones, she enjoys sea glass hunting in Gloucester, spending time with her family & friends, and caring for her furry children Opal the dog and Kevin Ophelia the rabbit.

Miss Tacia is a dedicated early learning educator who brings enthusiasm and creative flair to the classroom. Her commitment to fostering young minds is evident in her ability to inspire through creativity. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys quality time with family, friends and her beloved cat, Penny. In addition she loves all thing relaxation and holistic well being.

Miss Alicia is a highly dedicated preschool teacher with over 20 years of experience in early childhood education. She holds a Bachelor's degree from St. Michael's College with expertise spanning across infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and pre-k students. Miss Alicia's teaching philosophy centers on child-initiated long-term investigations, where she nurtures curiosity and empowers students to explore their interests, setting them on a path of lifelong learning. Beyond the classroom, she enjoys cooking, attending live music events, and indulging in novels. She is a loving pet owner to Stanley Tucci, her cat, and Churchill, her loyal dog.

Miss Grace proudly hails from Newburyport High School and is currently pursuing her education part-time at NECCO. With a wealth of childcare experience derived from years of babysitting and nurturing three younger sisters, she has cultivated a deep passion for early childhood education. Miss Grace's dedication to fostering young minds is evident in her love for crafting and singing, which she joyfully shares with her students to encourage creativity and engagement. Beyond the classroom she loves going to the beach, amusement parks and concerts with her dog, Rio.

Miss Lynn is one of our great early education teachers! She is a graduate of Southern New Hampshire University and has been a valuable member of the Milestones community for several years, bringing a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to her role working with young learners. Miss Lynn enjoys self-care, working out and trying new foods and restaurants. In her classroom, she infuses creativity and joy by incorporating water play activities that not only entertain but also contribute to the development of her students. Miss Lynn also likes to incorporate music into her classroom, fostering a dynamic and engaging learning environment.
Miss Stephanie

Miss Stephanie brings creativity to the forefront, engaging her students in arts and crafts projects that foster both imagination and skill development. She loves to keep things exciting for her students as she is an early educator whose love for volleyball and sports extends beyond the court and into the classroom. She enthusiastically coaches those interested in the sport and brings that love of sports into the classroom. Miss Stephanie continuously learns new games to play, ensuring her students have a dynamic and enjoyable learning experience. She also loves the beach, baking and spending time with her large family.
Miss Melinda

Miss Melinda, one of our dedicated toddler teachers, is currently pursuing her education at Salem State University, driven by her lifelong passion for working with children. Her journey began with babysitting infants in her family, leading to the responsibility of running her own Sunday school class at church. Through early education classes and her tenure at Milestones, Miss Melinda has flourished.
Outside of the classroom she finds solace in the company of her beloved dog, Charlie, and cherishes moments spent with family and friends. An avid reader and explorer, she is always eager for new book recommendations and enjoys discovering new places. Miss Melinda's enthusiasm shines brightest when she engages her students in messy sensory play, fostering a hands-on approach to learning and exploring the wonders of the world together.

Miss Melissa, an esteemed educator with years of experience, is currently pursuing her studies at Merrimack College. Outside of her academic pursuits, she finds solace in crocheting, painting and journaling, nurturing her creativity. With her faithful companion Charlie by her side, she enjoys leisurely walks and cherishes moments of relaxation.
Passionate about instilling a love for reading, Miss Melissa encourages her students to embrace messy and creative activities, fostering a dynamic learning environment. In her downtime, she indulges in the simple pleasures of Netflix and relishes the luxury of sleeping in. Her classroom radiates with a blend of creativity, warmth and a deep-seated love for learning, ensuring a nurturing and enriching experience for all her students.

One of her standout qualities is her knack for creativity, especially when it comes to crafting activities for her students. Whether it's painting, drawing, or other hands-on projects, Miss Kali consistently brings innovative and engaging ideas to the table, making the learning experience not only educational but also enjoyable for her young learners. Beyond the classroom, she finds joy in spending time with her own children, taking hikes, and taking some time to recharge while taking a vacation.

Miss Kiara is one of our early educators that has a passion for creativity and exploration. She has a love for drawing, reading, and writing and loves to try new restaurants. At home, she has 3 cats named Cooper, Camie, and Bruce, along with a charming hamster named Tiny Tim. In her role as an educator, Miss Kiara channels her artistic energy into crafting activities with her students and encourages outdoor play to foster a well-rounded learning experience. During her downtime, she enjoys binge-watching TV shows, indulging in gaming sessions of Fall Guys, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle by hitting the gym. Miss Kiara's diverse interests foster a welcoming environment for everyone both inside and outside the classroom.

Miss Aliya is on a dedicated educational journey, currently studying at NECC to obtain her Child Development Associate (CDA) and Director Certification. With experience working with children of all ages, she brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to her role. Miss Aliya's teaching philosophy embraces the outdoors, where she enjoys going outside with her students and engaging in messy, hands-on activities that spark creativity. At home, she shares her space with her beloved cat and spends time doing what she loves, finding joy in painting and baking. When she's not in the creative zone, Miss Aliya enjoys unwinding with movies and cherishing quality time her family. Her commitment to both professional growth and a fulfilling personal life makes her a well-rounded and nurturing presence in the classroom.

Rylee is an educator who finds joy in finger painting and sharing their love for music with others, often incorporating creative sessions with their students. They are a vibrant individual who enjoys painting, coloring and cleaning. With a cat and a dog as home companions, their home is always filled with lively energy. Rylee especially loves the calming presence and companionship of their beloved cat.

Miss Alex, from Amesbury herself and holding accreditation in American Sign Language (ASL), brings a rich tapestry of skills and passions to her work. Her hobbies reflect a wide range of interests including reading, singing, playing the flute and working on her photography. Miss Alex also enjoys learning new languages and is currently working on learning Dutch, showcasing her dedication to continuous learning. At home, she has a delightful Polish rabbit named Bunny Boy. In her role as an educator, Miss Alex finds immense joy in incorporating music and arts and crafts into her lessons, fostering a creative and enjoyable learning environment. Outside the classroom, she enjoys spending time with her fiancé Darian. Miss Alex's dynamic interests and genuine connection with her students make her an exceptional educator.

Beyond work, Morgan wears many hats – from coaching cheerleading to playing softball, walking her dog, and spending quality time with her cat. She loves to create holiday-themed art and organizes outdoor games, reflecting her love for both creativity and nature.

Miss Kaitlin's involvement extends beyond her home; she's passionate about engaging with students, leading music sessions and circle time at the school. On her spare times she loves to visit Maine and watch documentaries!

Miss Janis also loves to bake, do puzzles and loves her crazy dog!
